Phytosanitary Certificate

A Phytosanitary Certificate (PSC) is an essential document required for the export of plants, plant products, seeds, and agricultural commodities. It is issued by the Plant Quarantine Authority of India (PQIS) under the Ministry of Agriculture to certify that the shipment is free from pests, diseases, and meets the importing country’s plant health regulations.

Why Phytosanitary Certificate is Important:

  • Ensures compliance with International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC) standards

  • Prevents rejection of consignments at the importing country’s port

  • Certifies that the export consignment is pest-free and safe

  • Mandatory for exports of agri-products like fruits, vegetables, seeds, grains, and plants

Process for Obtaining a Phytosanitary Certificate:

  1. Submission of export documents & product details

  2. Inspection of consignment by Plant Quarantine Authority

  3. Laboratory testing (if required) for pests & diseases

  4. Issuance of PSC for smooth export clearance

We assist exporters with documentation, inspection scheduling, testing, and obtaining the Phytosanitary Certificate to ensure hassle-free exports.
